It's 5:30 in the fucking morning and I'm still awake, so I figured I'd do something halfway productive and explain to everyone why I haven't been as active around here for the past year or so.
The answer's simple: this place is a fucking cesspool. It was created undoubtedly with good intentions but has turned into a place with enough frivolous e-drama, misconceptions, and relentless egocentrism to overturn MySpace on its ass. This place is a hovel for 13-year-old kids who have no shred of talent whatsoever and come here to whore themselves out for ridiculous nonsense they call art, trying to justify themselves as true artists by posting overly-rendered anime art, inflation art, or--god help me--furries. Don't get me wrong. There are some goddamned good artists floating around here, many of which I've had the pleasure of meeting in person. But god fucking forbid they don't get on the front page because they haven't drawn Naruto or Death Note fanart or taken photographs of their cats or ball-jointed dolls.
I love to draw fanart and will probably keep doing it, but don't expect me to update anything regularly or continue any of the projects I have going on here. Fact of the matter is I've moved on, kids. I'm interested in a career in art and continuing to cater to 13-year-old fanbrats is not going to get me anywhere. You'll also find that I'm discontinuing posting any chapters of NecrophiliAugury here and will probably remove the entire story sometime this summer. Why? Simply put, people were liking it for entirely the wrong reasons. It's more than a little disturbing to have a adolescent girl describing to you how much she idolizes a character who is clearly a sociopath and a physical masochist. That was not the message I wanted to convey with that story, and I apologize if anyone has received a different impression from it. If anyone is seriously interested in reading the rest of the story, I'll be glad to type up a final chapter and share it with you. But if you are underage, I will ignore you. You should not be reading it in the first place. Find a good, strong role model who you can truly look up to as you move on in life.
Like I said, I'll probably keep posting my fanart here, because this is where that shit belongs. You will not, however, see any of my original art on this website any longer.
